As you begin the New Year you can be certain that the need for prayer will be an important part of it. Wherever God’s path will lead you in 2015, you can carry these truths in your heart regarding prayer—rest in them in your testing, bring them to mind in your trials, walk in them through your valleys, be thankful for them in your circumstances, sing of them in your praises, utter them in your prayers, boldly proclaim them in your confession of faith:

The way to the mercy seat is open and you will always be able to find grace to help you in your time of need.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)

God’s understanding of your need is much greater than your ability to express it.
Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask Him! Matthew 6:8 (NLT)

Cares will come, not to be carried, but to be released into God’s hands.
Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV)

The power in prayer is not found in the eloquence of the one who prays, but in the power of God who answers.
And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the POWER and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:13 (NKJV)

You can pray about anything, at any time, at any location, in any circumstance—God is always paying attention.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)

Pray loudly, God will not be startled; pray softly, God is not hard of hearing.
Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; have mercy and be gracious to me and answer me! Psalm 27:7 (AMP)
Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. 1 Samuel 1:13 (NKJV)

If your need is great and words are hard to find, let your prayer be, “Help me” or “O, God!” If words do not come at all, let your prayer be a sigh of your heart, a groan of your spirit, or a tear from your eye.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart– These, O God, You will not despise. Psalm 51:17 (NKJV)
